For this project, we completely restored the chimney by addressing two of the most important elements that protect a home: siding and waterproofing. The old masonite siding had deteriorated over time, which not only weakened the appearance of the chimney but also left it vulnerable to water intrusion and long-term structural damage. We removed the failing material and replaced it with durable Hardy siding, which is designed to withstand weather, resist rot, and maintain its clean look for years to come. Before installing the new siding, we ensured the chimney was properly waterproofed. This step is critical because the chimney is one of the most exposed areas of a roof system, and any weakness in flashing or moisture protection can lead to leaks inside the home. By carefully wrapping and sealing the structure with modern weatherproofing materials, we created a tight barrier that prevents water from penetrating behind the siding or into the roofing system. The finished result is not only stronger and longer-lasting but also visually appealing. The chimney now blends seamlessly with the roofline and exterior while giving the homeowner peace of mind that this vulnerable part of the home has been rebuilt with premium products and expert craftsmanship. Choosing Hardy siding and proper waterproofing ensures protection against the elements while maintaining a clean, updated look that adds value to the property.
